Our CEO Henry Salas
Industrial Dash CEO Henry Salas is a man who comes from a background unlike any other.
A bilingual United States Navy veteran, Henry knows the importance of using his skill set to help others. While working as a submarine mechanic in the Navy, Henry came to learn that few feelings in life could match the joy he felt when helping others and serving a cause greater than himself, and thus, his daily motivation ever since has been to recreate that feeling of joy by helping others as much as possible.
That natural motivation has led him through many fascinating stops along his journey through life. He has served as a missionary in Cuba, worked as an insurance agent with a focus on worker’s compensation and health insurance, and gained extensive experience in the Human Resources field.
Today, Henry Salas brings that experience and that motivation to Industrial Dash. Henry believes that time is money, and time that is spent traveling to and from a hardware store to retrieve materials is wasted time on a contractor’s end. Thus, Henry founded Industrial Dash to bridge that gap between contractors and clients, and ensure that interactions and jobs between them are completed in as efficient a manner as can be.
Industrial Dash’s Origin Story
The idea for Industrial Dash was first conceived when Henry Salas was working at Lowe’s. One day, a man came up to him and offered to pay him $100 to go and bring him all the tools needed to complete a job. Henry happily took the money and delivered the hardware materials to the job site, where the man thanked him and told him that he’d actually saved him not only time and stress but money as well.
Henry then realized that there was a real market for such a service. When contractors need hardware materials that they don’t have with them, it takes a lot of time to find the nearest hardware store, drive to and from that hardware store, and select the necessary materials. Instead, contractors could save a lot of time by remaining on-site- and possibly even perform other duties of the job that don’t require those additional materials- while a third party goes to the hardware store, buys the materials for them, and then delivers it right to the job site. After all, such delivery services already exist for food, so why not for job contractors who need hardware supplies?
And thus, Industrial Dash was born.
